Map Name: Anslem
Author: Robert Travis
Released: 26th July 1996
Rating: 83

Review by Kim Robinson on 25th November 2007

Although an old map, Anslem holds its place as one of the grandest and architecturally impressive single player maps available. Anslem has a creative design and good replay value, however the textures soon become very monotonous, and quite a large number of these have been placed carelessly. A must-have oldie for any fan.

A Duke Nukem 3D user created level

DESCRIPTION : ANSLEM is an imposing structure in an
enclosed outdoor area. ANSLEM is a strange
combination of a castle and a library,
yet it is neither actually. ANSLEM
fully takes advantage of single play mode,
but is also an excellent deathmatch
experience, despite being a tad bit larger
                 than it should be.

This is my second level, I was able to put
it together in less than two weeks. In the
end, it didn't live up to my expectations.
Large outdoor area's are almost never a
good idea. Someday I will learn this! :)
ANSLEM is meant to be played without a
jetpack. Try it without one for a
better challenge. A Pentium 90 processor
or higher is reccomended for ANSLEM.
                 Feedback by E-Mail is encouraged.
