yeah I know that's something I need to experiment with a lot more indeed, a lot of my maps look flat in terms of lighting, whereas on the few occasions I've been given to toy around with strong contrasts I was always surprised with the outcome, there is definitely something I can dig further in that field, I will keep that in mind for my next map... strong colored sectors in a more plain, desolated-looking environment, when used wisely, can look amazing.

there is one i started eons ago, that was fairly ambitious / different and i never got to finish, i really want to find the time for it one of these days, but it probably won't happen anytime soon seeing as i am going to have a busy schedule by the end of the year
