It's Gambini! But I'm confused... what good maps has he released lately?  :P  ;)

Edit: wow, the review for It Lives is a giant wall of text which is very difficult to read. It could use some paragraphs  :-\

I have no issues with any adjustments to the reviews I submit, as long as you don't go crazy and change it to something like, "I hate this guy and his work sucks monkey balls...Score = -7"
Unless, of course, that's what I really wrote.  8)

i'll start putting spaces between paragraphs from now on  :P

We decided to give mappers some credits and honour by having the limelight shining on their maps and works in the Duke Nukem 3D community. Both past and present mappers.

Mapper of the month will not have a theme.

It's more like a surprise, if you like. It could be Pascal Rouaud. Or it could be a long forgotten mapper....
You never know

what's confusing?

Yeah, I think Gambini deserves to be honoured on our site.
He is making levels only with the Mapster32 and the default GRP file of DN3D as his tools.
With an output that actually is shaking avid Dukers ( mappers).
Many mappers today is taking advantage of the HRP/ Polymer or custom art/models/scripts in order to stand out of the crowd. Gambini doesn't need to go down that road ....

Well deserved honours, Gambini!  :)

Yes,that's sad.
But the result is always the same even with new stuff :average  :(

I 'm totally agree with the selection of the mapper of this month.
It could not be an other body than Gambini but...where's Gambini ?

And i'm just a little surprised that this "show" has just a so poor stuff.
Why not try make it unique by implementing an interview, asking for his old/comin' work, his personnal motivation...
It could be awesome  :D

while I agree that an interview, or a small paragraph, about the mapper of the month's background would be pretty neat, it's not completely feasible.  The selected mapper of the month could be somebody who hasn't mapped for Duke in a decade and getting an interview or a small bit of information on them will be close to impossible. Best leave it in a format that can apply to anyone chosen.

I'm not completely convinced by the last argument  ???

Because it can fail for some bodys,we will not try to make something good ?
Interview can be an impossible task sometimes but why not a kind of small biography ?

Perhaps each month,we can complete an encyclopedia on mappers and their work.
I see something like that.It can be awesome  :D

I agree, sometimes it's nice to know more about the man behind the map. It would be handy to have a bunch of information in one place, like how old he is, which country he lives in, how long he's been mapping/how many maps he's made etc..

I disagree.
If somebody wants to open a wiki thread about MoM, that's ok.
But I will not put up an official mapper wiki for many reasons.
MoM is blown out of proportions by some...
It's their WORK and nothing else that is supposed to be highlighted.

We do not ask to hack their pc to retrieve personal infos  ;D

I rephrase :
It would be handy to have a bunch of information in one place, like how old he is, which country he lives in, how long he's been mapping/how many maps he's made etc..

And sometimes,i've seen a lot of perso informations writen in template and their e-mail.
A lot of mappers have written they want to be contacted about their work.

And a small paragraph about their personal skill cannot harm.
