I feel like sharing my favourite place with you. This is my sanctuary. A small river where I can sit down by the campfire and relax. If I'm lucky, I would catch an occasional trout as well  ;)

Bitter words mean little to me. Autumn winds will blow right through me
And someday in the mist of time, when they asked me if I knew you
I'd smile and say you were a friend of mine, and the sadness would be lifted from my eyes
Oh when I'm old and wise

Forge

Looks peaceful. Reminds me of the upper Coeur D' Alene river in northern Idaho

Astrophotography is harder than it looks... ugh.

Taken with my new camera.

Damn, always wanted to see the southern sky, full of objects I can never see from here. I think I can spot at least the southern cross, the coalsack nebula and the large magellanic cloud there in your picture.

You need a telescope to hook up with your camera, Commander.
But the prizes are astronomical  :P

I do have a telescope.

127MM

But the pictures taken with it would not look as impressive as the ones above IMO.

Forge

Looking out my backyard at Mt. Rainier in the morning (not a high qual pic, taken with a cheap digital camera)

That´s beautiful. I don´t know why but every sunset, every lake, every nature shot reminds me to some place I lived when i was 9/10.

This is a picture taken not farther than one mile away of our house (our house in that time). We had the lake in the front of our house and a stream in the back, a boat to go fishing in the evenings and the most plentiful and variated fauna i have ever seen. The best childhood memories.

Forge

Nice looking scenery. How big is that lake?

33.000 hectares. It is a reservoir supported by a hydroelectric dam, a town was sunken when the dam was built, back in the fifties. So you can see the belltower of the church and other high roofs when the dam is opened for long periods.

Spring is here  :)
So it's only a few weeks until I can take my bike out for a ride.
Now, my bike has been through a major overhaul during the winter as you can see from the pics.

It is a:
1982 Kawasaki LTD 1000 ( very rare model here in Norway)

Very nice, a bit newer than what I'm into, but still very nice.

hehe nothing like taking for a ride an old bike that runs like new.  :)

What did they do to it exactly?

Maybe my three years older bike suits your tastes?

Although a little bit too small to be taken serioulsy :P

Still too new, I want one of these (This isn't my photo);

But, for the time being, I am stuck on this (A random snap to re-topicise my post);

The only problem with it is that I went bowling today and split my jeans, hairpin saddles aren't the best thing in the world in such a situation.
