Very nice work! I got very confused in my section, lol. It took me awhile to realize that it'd been flipped.

There's a few misaligned textures and such, but otherwise it was a very fun map.

What's the latest version of the map with the dam?

Unfortunately, I've lost track of who's doing what and for the past month I've been dealing with a steady string of Real Life stuff (TM).

My sections--the cave, the city, and the nearby beach--are "good enough" for me. However, my original map was designed to join to the next section via a force field that is disabled in a building in the city. Now that the dam is there, I don't know what actually blocks the progression of the map. (It's designed to have players backtrack.)

As far as I know the dam is still unfinished.

I *might* have a few days free for some speedmapping, but I can't promise. School starts up again in a little more than a week...

Crap, I was waiting for someone else!

Not really feeling too inspired right now though, so...who wants to go next? :P

Funny how everyone interviewed is mostly against Polymer and the HRP.

I feel old. I dislike the HRP and Polymer as well. :P

Polymer is slooow on my machine though.

Edit: Is there a place to view the interviews without Flash? I refuse to install it on my Linux system. (And like Polymer it tends to run slowly, anyway.)

We can all fight over it!

Just kidding.

Or, contribute a bunch of mini sections...hey, the city isn't big enough. We could make another city behind (as in to the side of) the dam and give each mapper, oh, 1000 walls to make a building.

Brilliant!

I got stuck twice; first I didn't know that the yellow thing on the wall was a lock (seriously)...and second I could NOT find the red keycard lock. Other than that, I liked the variety in the puzzles.

Definitely could use more ambient sounds though.

I identified the chords by their sound. Not to nitpick, but your guitar is a little out of tune. :P

Nice work!

I can tinker if there are walls to spare.

Is something happening here? Long time didn't see anything from you guys.

I'm just lurking, lurking around...:P

@Drek: you had better go first. If there are still walls left when you are done I will happily tinker though!

Eh, I made the cavern dark on purpose. MAYBE it can be lit up by one or two shade levels at the most.

If you want, I can take a look at it after Tuesday (presentation at school). I like what's in the screenshots so far!

Just for the record, I don't drink at all, IRL or in my game maps. :P So my fridge should have NullBeer or something in it ala UT2004.

I think the majority of the team wanted to have no boss at the end. Rather, a big fight with all the other enemies, probably using timed respawns.

If we're sticking with the idea that Duke is looking for beer and a great location to film his new movie; at the end, Duke is finally satisfied that he's found a good place, then a door opens up to reveal a fridge full of beer (or something along those lines). Then when he goes up to it everything turns black and you can hear the voice of the annoying mouse from babe land. Then duke goes "damnit" and still doesn't have a good location for his movie!

Fine, works for me. It's so stupid it's ingenious! I think Maarten could create a giant fridge filled with shitload of beer in the final level! :D

I just darkened the final level. Now it oozes gloomy atmosphere with refreshing color scheme:

Pull a DNF! Shrink Duke and make him navigate the hazardous confines of the refrigerator!

On a serious note, I'm digging the red columns against the green walls.

The end of my section (whatever the last one was) is the force-field arch just below the end of your A-arrow. It's not really intended to meet with the next section, but it could. It's up to you (or if it's not, up to Micky C: :P)
