Title: [RELEASE] The Unknown Planet
Post by: Maarten on 01 January 2016, 13:26:01
Hi Duke Community! Happy new year!

Remember this vid? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybKnncNnV8s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybKnncNnV8s)

It's been a while... but: my new map is finished! I got back to the weird & freaky
alien planet x64-2 style. Hope you enjoy it. Of course, comments are welcome!

Man, what a great alien themed map!
I think there's a bug involved though....a serious one.
I've finished the map without entering the keycards...
You know, when you're inside the station where hordes of aliens appears through time delayed doors....
When the commanders arrived it was kinda hectic  :P ....but all of a sudden when running about fighting commanders I was teleported to the ending stage.

Great to hear you enjoyed it so far!

About the bug.. how did you manage to get into the station without the locations you're getting with the key cards? AFAICS you can't go there in a normal way without using the cards yet. You're the first one saying this so I'm not sure what to fix... :-\  The station  is actually the ending fight, and the teleporter is behind one of the doors, so I'm guessing you got there without knowing it.

Sounds to me like a one time game bug.. I even got stuck in Roch6 and got to the ending very fast. Still no idea how..

Could be a one time incidence.
I've inserted the yellow card, that's all (not the blue and red one).

Sounds like a one time thing. You're not supposed to reach the hanger in the middle until you've unlocked all the forcefields in front of the door (and you'll need the blue and red keycards to reach one of the buttons).

Anyway, it's a really cool level, you should probably play it again to see the areas you've missed.

BTW I could submit a review, but since I'm the brother of the author it probably won't be very objective. :P

I'll write one up, but perhaps it's better for you to add a score.
