The map "Area" by Zik crashes the game with eduke32 versions from the past 4 years.
Btw, there is a newer version of this map, which also crashes the game, here:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/bhacpstsgxj9wb9/z_area.zip

Fixed it for ya, and it was a tricky one.

I had to dislocate the vertices from the transport elevator door.

Transport Elevators depend on an adjacent sector's ceiling height in order to determine the height at which to teleport. For this reason, you should not use any effects that change the ceiling height of a sector adjacent to a Transport Elevator. The original map designers made this mistake in E2L1.MAP: "Spaceport", which only works correctly by luck/coincidence.

:Quoted from The Duke Nukem 3D Informational Suite
by Ryan Lennox

:Nothing was changed except the fix, I even used the original zip file.

All I did was copy/paste its own door back into itself after I removed it and it dislocated the vertices automatically, and then copy pasted the exact textures with the correct panning/shades back to their origanal state.

It works/looks & acts as the author intended.

I fixed the problem with pushing forward and dying.

:Thanks Forge for finding this mistake I should have used a (S-23 palette +) one way teleporter in that spot, this was a huge bug since you don't land underwater like intended.

And thanks for your comments.

Also thanks: MSandt for the glaring review.

And Puritan for posting it.

It was nice of you guys to take the time to post, review and comment and help me bug fix.

Will release the bug fixes with part 2 maybe even make a grp.file/exe. or something with both of them together if I can.

Could be awhile though I'm lacking motivation to build lately but will get on with it eventually.

Pulled back the text cameras slightly, moved a touchplate in cave so its unlikely you can get trapped on the wrong side.

Moontang Episode 1 - Brig it on

Here's my new map DOWNLOAD LINK Moontang Episode 1 - Brig it on. With Polymer ( Optional but looks perty )

Brig escape adventure map when the base is overtaken by aliens. With all skill levels, multiplayer and dukematch.

( Balanced for Let's Rock, Come Get Some+ is difficult and Piece of Cake might be to easy for some ).

It is 990 sectors light and should have no lag.

Next Episode planned is Moontang - Green Cheeze for Everyone.

Just played it and it sure plays well.

Sorry for moving your topic around, I was a bit too fast earlier on today.
Didn't notice it was moved. no worries  ;D

Glad it played well - my 18YO thought the skill level was too difficult, glad thats not the case.

* Hand dryers in the bathrooms (gives pipe bombs)
* Rotisserie oven (gives atomic health)
* Coke machine (gives cola or small health)
* Dish washer (gives armor)
* Microwave (gives grow ammo)
* Fire alarms (gives crystal ammo) :Note I often miss these myself

If theirs differed from mine, they'd simply be wrong. Who's interested in hearing wrong opinions?

Really bring it on....

I'll show you mine

is someone questioning my impartiality and qualifications to do reviews (again)?

i just love how people are all the sudden experts on reviews and can so easily toss judgement from a distance at something I do in my free time to help out the community. That's the kind of bullshit that makes me want to throw my hands up and stop doing them. This is an open site; anybody can submit a review, but usually the loudest, whiniest motherfuckers are the ones who refuse to lift a finger to submit their own review. They like to bitch and make noise just to hear themselves talk, but don't want to open themselves up for the same criticism and flak that they so enjoy dishing out. j/k, i'm ranting to fuck with you. i really don't care. there's a 5 star rating system on the map's review page that can be used.

Quite the reaction  :o

Listen I stated clearly (kind enough) in my statement.... nothing I said indicated your inability to rate maps, Infact I complemented you on your tireless quest.

The fact is what it is . One mans opinion is just that period, no matter how competent.

There can be NO sway in the ratings if only done by one person.

I would be happy to rate a map here and there... if it would help, but then again it would be my soul opinion of it & I accept that.

Plus all the 99's I could not complete ( I allways got stuck) never finished one of them.

Bottom line is that the average player ratings would differ from yours no-matter what you did.

Please keep doing what your doing - we like it, but its not ever going to be the consensus of the the community itself.

PS: I would rate maps on FUN alone, the rest is just eye candy witch adds to the score, but fun is a main factor & MY version of fun, VS your version of fun, VS uncle Henry's version may differ.

People sometimes forget that patstimes like playing a game aren't meant to be frustrating but.... Fun....... just.....fun. :D

Highest rated how, By review?

I would suggest this only if maps were rated by the community.

As it stands you can just play them as rated by maybe 2 two individuals who are kind enough to take the time to go over all these maps and review them.
