This map feels like a breath of fresh air. In terms of architecture and design, this is probably one of the best releases of 2013. The map is filled with fresh, cool ideas. On the other hand, the gameplay is nothing special, but it works.

Highland is a great map. Why would you remake a map like this?

This is really weird. The review is basically a description of E2L10 from Duke 3D, and the screenshots are obviously taken from there, but I downloaded the map and it's nothing like that. The map from zip file is made in 1997 by The Master, judging by the signature, and it looks pretty cool actually.

Hello guys. I'm feeling really bad right now, so I feel like I need to tell someone about it. I'm in a deep depression, which lasts probably for a year or maybe longer. You can tell by my last releases that I'm not feeling happy. All of them are mostly horror related, or simply fucked up like the Yume Nikki 3d thing. The Wall map and YN3D were developed at the time when I was feeling especially dreadful.

So, I have some problems which are the reasons of me having a depression. One of them is loneliness. I honestly don't think that there's something wrong with loneliness, I've always been a calm guy and I prefer being alone most of the time. But the problem is, now I feel like I really need to get some friends. I want to get a normal life, have fun with true friends. I've had "friends" in a past years actually, but they're all vanished somewhere, usually with a drama. Last half of the year I tried to get some friends, but no luck.

The other problem is, I'm almost 21, and never dated. I was attracted to some girls, but they have been already in relationship at this time. I've never got a chance with a lonely girl, 95% of girls I've knew were in relationship. Most of the people I know now are in relationship, and it makes me feel especially lonely. And most of these people are younger than me.

There are a lot of other problems, but I don't feel like discussing them right now. These two I've mentioned are the worst.

I seriously don't now what to do. I can't stop thinking about suicide, I feel like I'm trapped.

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I touched mapster, so I decided to make a map last night. It took me maybe 16 hours to finish the work.

Most of the map is based on totally random ideas and it doesn't have any action. The gameplay is based on exploration, your main task is to find three keys to open the exit. Try not to get lost and make sure you visit all locations.

By the way, ceiling fans in the office are borrowed from Gambini's RUSH, which was released at the time. Man, this map is full of borrowed stuff.

I just realised, the burger area is probably the most plagiarised, especially the kitchen room. Damn, I feel really dirty now.

Buenos Aires Explosive is one of my favorite maps ever, so obviously it had a big impact on me. I played the map in 2008 for the first time and just couldn't resist to borrow some ideas from it. Also, the Duke Burger area is also highly inspired by the same area in BAE. The map also includes a borrowed typewriter from We Store Your Crap (removed in Trilogy version) and some sounds from AoMDC HL mod.

One thing I can say for sure, I wasn't copying areas directly from the map, everything here is made by hand.


Dunno what else to say about the subject, honestly. I guess I should give DavoX more credit, but I should have done it earlier. Now, I almost forgot about The Dream series and this topic came out as a surprise for me.

I think my worst work was Buenos Aires Explosive remake. Not because of the details or anything, because it did have detail in it, but the gameplay was horrible, unfair and unplayable. There's a puzzle in which you have to get out of the place in under a minute by remembering a series of almost 10 doors in sequence.

What? 

Buenos Aires Explosive remake is actually one of my favorite maps ever, and the door puzzle is one of it's coolest features.

Good map, I enjoyed it.
Gotta love the innovative effects and ideas. The police light effect really surprised me, I had to go to LeBuild to figure out how this thing works. The train at the beginning is also pretty cool. The clock reminded me of Lezing's LPT.

The ocean waves near the beach look great, but everything was too dark and I didn't noticed them when I played the map the first time.

Interesting package, looking forward to roaming around these in mapster 

just checked out the front page. Wow, I didn't know that Bob Averill have made a remake of Rott level. Pretty awesome for it's time, I liked some of the ideas. Is there exist any other Bob's forgotten levels?

The updated rating for hasit seems to be fair. Now I'm satisfied 

Not sure about Hasit, I dont remember it. But sure, Duke Nightmare is overrated by like 78 points... 

If you haven't played Hasit, I recommended it. Sure it's not a masterpiece, but I was surprised by it's ideas and good level design. It's sure better than any E1L1 remake.

Duke's nightmare (E1L1 and E1L2 COOP remake with a few design differences) got 79, and Hasit (an all time classic with some great design ideas) got 76.

This totally makes no sense to me. Forge, could you please replay Hasit and maybe give it another rating? C'mon, that map clearly deserves another chance
