The author's own words:
A lot of strange things have been goin on near the San Andreas Fault...the same area Duke blew the hell out of the alien Battlelord commanding the earth assault force....

A quite big map that, as you've guessed, takes place in a rocky environment.
Duke must climb cliffs, dive in waterfilled caves, roam tunnels and face the alien boss.
The design is okay for it's time with references to the original "Abyss" level. Shading / lighting is present but weak. Texturing is, as expected for a cave-map, quite simple with few variations. A pitty that the author didn't put in some more ambiant sound to give some more life to it.
Most weapons is available but ammo might be a concern.....me myself didn't have enough power to finish off the final boss. So, instead of firefights it could be wise to save the ammo for a rainy day. Note that the level holds a couple of well hidden passages to secret rooms stuffed with goodies. If you find 'em you'll be more prepared and might be able to pass the level.
Healing items could also be a problem until you reach the end....there you'll be overwelmed by atomic healths and 100+ suitcases.
All in all a desent level that would consume some 30 minutes of your time.
