The aliens have taken over an atmospheric plant on Venus and intend to make the planet suitable for their habitation so they have a launching pad to attack Earth. Duke must make his way inside and set off the self destruct to thwart their plans.

A large map with a good layout and design. Duke starts out on the landing pad immediately under fire. He must make his way inside the facility and explore the different parts of the plant via an underground rail line. The map has a nice dark atmosphere created with good texturing and shading. There's some interesting architectural structures and designs, the detailing and sprite work are decent all of which creates a good ambiance.

Duke starts out only armed with a pistol, but as he explores further into the map, more weapons are added to his arsenal about the same time the stronger aliens start making their appearance. Health is at a premium initially so a bit of caution is advised until kits start becoming available. There's a few switch puzzles and some walls that need to be blown up, but none of the puzzles are confusing or too difficult.

For those that like exploring and some good even gun fights.

    Texturing/Lighting-Shading: 8/10
    Sprite Work/Detailing:7/10
    Ambiance: 8/10
    Architecture/Design: 18/20
    Layout: 18/20
