A small map with a simple layout and a decent design. Duke starts out in his apartment when the aliens mount an attack. He moves through the few rooms of his apartment to get armed and to pick up some health. The inside of the apartment is well textured, but the shading seems a bit washed and the detailing and sprite work are sparse. Killing a few aliens, Duke moves outside, kills a few more enemies and grabs some pipe bombs. The outside area is also a bit barren and there's no back drop to add depth, but there is some light sprite work and the trimming is well done. Moving down into the small sewer area, the detailing and shading improve and carry on throughout the rest of the map. There's plenty of secrets and hidden areas to find as Duke searches for keys, but finding them means Duke collects some heavy firepower and alot of health becomes available. The end result is that the aliens are no challenge to Duke's authority and the map becomes a cake walk. A decent play for a quick key card hunt with no puzzles and some easy alien blasting.

    Texturing/Lighting-Shading: 8/10
    Sprite Work/Detailing:7/10
    Ambiance: 7/10
    Architecture/Design: 17/20
    Layout: 16/20
    Gameplay/Difficulty: 26/30
    Overall: 81/100
