An EDF styled base.
Aesthetically it's not too eye catching. While the shading is decent enough, the detailing, trimwork, and texture work are pretty dull or minimalistic in their variety.
The map really isn't much more than a maze of hallways and a few medium sized rooms with very little in them. There are some sounds, but most of the level is quiet, and there is some pallete usage, but it looks flat and without contrast. Generally the ambiance just feels too sterile and confining.
The layout is pretty linear with a few dead end hallways to confuse progress and a couple closets along the way that hold supplies.

Game play is a couple keys and a few switches.
The puzzle design in this map may make you roll your eyes into the back of your head. Duke goes all the way down a linear set of corridors and rooms to use a key, then must return all the way back down the same path to almost near where he started from to use the second key.
Now this is where it gets redundant. Use switch to rotate turnstile, enter room, use switch, leave room, use switch to rotate turnstile and go down adjoining corridor, use switch, go back to turnstile, use switch to rotate turnstile and re-enter the room, hit another switch, leave room, hit switch to rotate turn style, go down another adjoining corridor, hit switch, return to turnstile, hit switch to rotate turnstile and re-enter the room, hit switch, and now you can finally leave. If backtracking were an Olympic sport, this map would take the gold.
Combat isn't that much more fun since it involves engaging mostly fat commander, mini-battlelords, and sentry drones in narrow hallways.
Limited ammo for some of the heavier weapons and a skimpy amount of healing items can also make it pretty rough.

Texturing/Lighting-Shading: 7/10
Sprite Work/Detailing: 6/10
Ambiance: 6/10
Architecture: 15/20
