A snowy city map.
There's new art, sounds, music, and a festive little enemy to add to the winter holiday theme. The main locations are the street and plaza areas, an apartment, a business office, and a troupe theatre. Most indoor sites are well textured, shaded, and detailed, but can be fairly cramped which makes moving around a bit difficult.
The outdoor areas are the highlight of the level with the falling snow, the drifts, and the frozen atmosphere. There's plenty of elbow room to move about and some nice scenery to catch your eye.
The first section of the map is linear as the player makes their way off the street and navigates through a building. The second section is a large open plaza hub that requires some exploring to locate the points of progression.
The level is quite short, but the play time was extended by making the player look around a large open area instead of jamming in undo amounts of backtracking.

Game play is mainly a key card hunt.
The map is small so the keys and locks are pretty close to each other, and since they're easy to find getting through the level is pretty simple. There are also a few switches to hit, but one switch towards the end opens a cleverly hidden passage. It's pretty obvious which piece of the environment has changed if you pay attention.
Supply to alien ratio is very well balanced, with just a hair more health and ammunition than necessary. Enemy encounters are consistent from start to finish at just the right amount to keep the action flowing smoothly to the end.
