An EDF canyon base.
At first the map was impressive with nice sweeping corridors and good trimwork and detailing, but it fell off later in the level. Some rooms were pretty boxy and flat looking and the shading also felt weak because of the square one texture locations. Even some of the well worked rooms neglected the ceiling.
There's more good about the atmosphere than bad, but it could have used a bit more work.
Game play consists of wandering around until the blue key is found.
Then wander around some more if the player forgets where the blue lock is. The rest of the keys are pretty much given after the first, but it still requires some memory skills to get back to the appropriate lock. This is due to the floorplan of the map. It's a series of rooms and passages looping around in a figure eight. There are several interconnecting hallways and other paths that allow the player to cut across the level, but it can get one's sense of direction a bit twisted if not paying attention.
The level isn't really that big, so it's not a major issue other than maybe a bit of extra exploring.
Despite the huge stashes of ammo the level is decently balanced and there's a good chance all those supplies are going to get used up.
