A canyon styled map with tropical scenery.
The level is basically on long winding valley interspersed with different scenery ranging from caves, manmade structures like a temple and a village, swamps, and a river.
The layout is long path from start to finish with little deviation from the main corridor of travel. There are narrow spots, widened out areas, large bodies of water, and some indoor sections so the scenery changes up just enough to keep the theme from getting too redundant. There's quite a bit of architectural structuring like rocky outcrops, pools and streams, overhangs, and climbing and descending cliff faces to provide some vertical movement and prevent things from looking flat. Good shading and plenty of spritework also enhance the scenery.
Other than a minor find the button puzzle the map is pretty much a navigate from point A to point B styled.
There's not much to do other than collect items and shoot a bunch of aliens. Besides a few of the more heavily alien populated locations it's pretty repetitive.
