A future tech moon base over run with aliens.
A large map with an extensive layout. The map looks good for the most part, there are a few issues with misaligned textures and some of the texture choices are a bit questionable. There are also a couple sectors clipping into each other which cause a hall of mirrors effect, but these are very few.
The lighting and shading effects are well done, but the atmosphere really could have used a boost with more ambient sounds.
The floor plan is well thought out and enjoyable to explore with good detailing and architecture; the scenery changes frequently enough not to get dull. The problems arise with the architecture in a few outdoor areas. It is possible to get trapped between rock formations and perimeter walls so look before you leap to make sure you can escape.
The game is mainly a collection of button puzzles and key cards hidden in obscure places.
There aren't very many clues as to how to progress so alot of exploring is required which may cause a little frustration in such a large map.
The alien encounters are pretty consistent and fair as long as you're going forward, but quite a bit of backtracking without spawns causes lulls in the action.
There are a decent variety of baddies occupying the base, and the arsenal is stacked with plenty of weapons and a good supply of ammunition, but the overabundance of atomic healths towards the end was unnecessary.
There is an option at the end of the map to either go to a nuke button or to have a boss fight.
