Duke Nukem 3D .MAP Authoring Template v1.0 ================================================================ Title : Quaik Filename : QUAIK.MAP Author : Neil Roy Email Address : royn@usa.net Misc. Author Info : USED to spend too much time editing levels ;) Description : This is a dukematch level that started out as the opening QUAKE level, you'll notice the similarities. Once you go through the teleports (which look like the Quake ones) it all changes. I put ALOT of effort into creating TRUE 3D in this level! Take a close look around at everything, notice the beams in the opening room, you can stand on them if you can figure out how to get up onto them ;) I did have this level looking almost identical to Quake but my hard drive died and I lost all my up-2-date work so I had to copy this off the only backup I had of it. Too bad because I done so much more... never the less, this is very good. Notice in the church the rafter (huge beam overhead, true 3D!) and the cross... this is a fun level and I will probably do some more work on my original idea of seeing what I can copy from the original Quake level, but I decided to release this one for now as it is alot of fun. Additional Credits to : - Gary Oldfield for testing this for me and allowing me to kill him SO MANY TIMES! :) - 3DRealms for creating the BEST 3D game out there... you have a good engine here don't throw it away for ANOTHER. (I can't wait to get Shadow Warrior and start editing on it! Eat your heart out Quake, Shadow Warrior is FAR supperior!) ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : hmmm... does this really apply to Duke?! Single Player : Yes (for exploring the level) DukeMatch Level : Yes (definately!) Difficulty Settings : Not implemented (may add creatures in the future as well as difficulty) * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Build editor Known Bugs : None that I know of. You'll notice that most of the structures I built from sprites do NOT dissapear at angles!
