A city map. The main locations are the street and alley ways, and an extensive sewer system. There also are couple buildings with several unadorned rooms with few furnishings. It's a very open layout and the player can pretty much go where they please. The down side to this is that only one key is really necessary to finish the level, one of the key locked areas can be accessed without the key. Two of the key locked areas are unnecessary for progression and are there merely as filler for some extra combat and a couple boxes of ammo.
Game play is more geared towards combat and the map is loaded with enemies.
Combat scenarios vary as some baddies are strategically placed, others are grouped in clusters, while the rest spawn when a certain area is breached. Most of the map is taken on with the basic three bullet guns, but some stronger weapons are stashed around the level.
Ammunition for the first three weapons is plentiful topside, but once down in the sewer the supply thins out. The same applies for health kits as well.
There are a couple jumping puzzles supplied for your amusement; one for extra supplies and the other blocks the way to the exit.
