Duke is trapped in a warehouse that's infested with hordes of aliens. Nothing to do on a lazy afternoon but to lock and load. A medium sized map with a nice layout. Duke starts out inside a warehouse and must navigate his way through corridors, small to medium sized rooms, an outdoor area, a subway terminal, and back. On the way you'll get to enjoy some nice detailing, shading, and architecture while you search for a can of gas to make a car work and some batteries to activate a door. While inside Duke must seek out and activate a sequence of switches that open doors leading farther into the complex. There's no need to worry about getting turned around, the logical layout makes it obvious what gets opened, and there's view screens to help you on your way. The outdoor area has well placed sprite work and although the shading seems a bit washed out, the texturing makes up for it. There's plenty of health and ammunition placed evenly around to keep up with the alien hordes. It's a good thing health spawns the same time the enemies does, especially while being fired upon by commanders and still sitting in the cramped cafe. If you linger you get to model as a wall decoration, but no fear, you're well armed and those bastards don't stand a chance.
