The aliens have taken over a portion of the city, abducted Duke, and are holding him hostage in their spacecraft that's in orbit around Earth.
Duke must end the infestation of the town and take out theirship.
A medium-large sized map with a pretty good layout and decent design.
It's a pretty old map so expect average texturing and sprite work. Shading inside the space ship for the most part fluctuates dramatically from good to non-existent. Most of the time was spent building the space craft layout and design and this is reflected in the substandard quality of the city portion.
While the map is not of the highest quality, there is some fairly good architecture. Overall the ambiance is alright, but the city portion of the map kind of ruins it.
Game play is fairly good for the most part.
The enemy, health, weapon, ammunition ratio is evenly proportioned except in the beginning where Duke has almost nothing and towards the end where there's an overabundance of unnecessary heavy artillery.
Some of the buttons and pathways are a bit too hidden, and with no clues or hints as to where they are, it can be frustrating and you can also manage to get yourself trapped. There's a bit of backtracking which isn't so bad except it goes through the slowest elevator in Duke history.
What makes this map stand out is the interesting and sometimes creative puzzles.
The main theme is a key hunting, switch throwing, button pushing exploration mission with lots of baddies to kill.
